Whether you're just a beginner or a seasoned veteran, our aviation services are second to none. We offer pilot training, high-wire patrol, pipeline patrol and radio relay services.

Our flight training also offers many sightseeing opportunities. Ever wanted to see the Houston area from the skies? Our training flights can take you over the Galveston Bay area, the Gulf Coast, The City of Houston, area monuments and landmarks as well as the surrounding areas! Additional services we provide include helicopter and airplane aerial photography and aerial surveying. If the job requires an airplane or helicopter, we're your one-stop resource to get it done – safe, efficiently and economically in a relaxed atmosphere.

Flight Training

Ascent Aviation is one of best full service flight training facilities in the Houston area. Based at the La Porte Municipal Airport (T41), we offer private pilot, instrument pilot, commercial pilot, single-engine and multi-engine flight training. We also provide helicopter flight instruction! Unlike typical helicopter training with smaller, 150 hp vessels, our in-house helicopters have 305 hp with greater weight capacity, ideal for both flight training as well as sightseeing.

Because we are a CFR Part 61 flight school, we offer personalized one-on-one training that is tailored to fit your every need. Whether you're working toward your private pilot license, commercial pilot license, instrument pilot rating, helicopter rating, seeking a career in aviation or are flying for fun, we'll develop a program that will develop your skills, while enhancing your overall flight experience.

We have a quality and diverse fleet. Choose from high-wing airplanes to low-wing airplanes, two-seater airplanes, four seat airplanes, single-engine to multi-engine airplanes, fixed-gear airplanes and retractable gear airplanes, simple to complex, and helicopters – the choices are endless!

Our instructors and ground staff are passionate about aviation, and it shows. With hard-knuckle instruction combined with an encouraging and relaxing environment, you'll find yourself surrounded by those who believe that flight training can be a fun and rewarding experience. At Ascent Aviation, you have the benefit of choosing an instructor from a variety of personalities and backgrounds that best suits your learning style. And while you'll fly mostly with your primary flight instructor, you will be encouraged to fly periodically with other flight instructors in order to intensify your development.

At Ascent Aviation, you control your flight training schedule! To schedule your flight training, simply reserve a space online or by phone. Our airplanes and helicopters are available for your convenience twenty-four hours a day, seven days a week. Choose from an array of airplanes, helicopters, flight instructors, flight simulators and ground instruction. To ensure quick and easy reservations you can use our simple, web-based online scheduling tools.

The deck is always open to staff, students, visitors and graduates! We always have someone accessible, whether it's simply to answer a quick question or offer their thoughts on anything aviation. Every Saturday at 13:00 hours, we host a weekly barbeque that is available free to all our friends and pilot trainees.
