Weight & Balance of an aircraft before flight is very important. An aircraft that is not within its Weight & Balance limits will suffer from negative control and flight effects. This can create a very dangerous situation, which is why Ascent Aviation teaches students to become proficient in calculating correct Weight & Balance for the aircraft they may be piloting both with pen and paper, as well as using various available calculators.
Every aircraft has different limits, so care must be taken to probably calculate the correct weight and balance distribution to keep the aircraft within its limits.
