Airline Transport Pilot (ATP)

So you fly for the airlines huh? If so, the Airline Transport Pilot rating is for you. Ascent Aviation not only has Certified Flight Instructors available to train you for your Airline Transport Pilot rating, some of them fly professionally for airlines and cargo companies as well! With current, real-world airline experience, our instructors know the requirements and regulations to obtain your ATP, and will work with you individually to help you reach your goal.

Course Requirements

FAA Minimums Include:

  • 1500 Hours of Total Flight Experience
  • 500 Hours of Cross-Country Flight Time
  • 100 Hours of Night Flight Time
  • 75 Hours of Instrument Flight Time
    • In Actual or Simulated Conditions
    • Max of 25 Hours using a Simulator
  • 250 Hours of PIC or 2nd In Command Under Supervision
    • 100 Hours of Cross-Country Flight
    • 25 Hours of Night Flight

If you've peformed at least 20 Night Takeoffs and Landings to a Full-Stop, you can substitute one night takeoff and landing for one hour of night flight time requirement up to a maximum of 25 hours.

FAA Helicopter Minimums Include:

  • 1200 Hours of Total Flight Experience
  • 500 Hours of Cross-Country Flight Time
  • 200 Hours of Flight in Helicopters
    • At Least 75 Hours as PIC
  • 75 Hours of Instrument Flight in Actual or Simulated
    • At Least 25 Helicopter PIC Hours
