Flight School - Private Pilot (VFR)

Getting your Private Pilot's License opens up a whole new world. No longer tethered to the ground, you will be able to lift off, leaving the earth below you. As a new skill, it can lead the way to many years of enjoyment or perhaps a future career in aviation!

Training for your Private Pilot License at Ascent Aviation begins with a Discovery Flight. From there it's on to Ground School and Flight Training. Ground school accompanies flight training to teach you more than just how to fly an airplane. You will learn how an airplane flies, and cover all subjects relevant to flight including: Aerodymanics, Weather & Micro-Meteorology, Navigation Systems, Flight Planning, Weight & Balance, Aircraft Emergency Handling, Airport Operations and much, much more. Our staff of Certified Flight Instructors will prepare you for your first solo flight in a safe and relaxed manner.
